ABC Workout Generated by IronSystem: How It Works and How to Use It
The app built my A, B and C workouts. Building an A, B and C workout doesn't have to start in a spreadsheet: IronSystem uses the information in your profile (goal, days per week, training location) and, if you want, an optional briefing, and builds the A, B and C lists. The result is a template generated by the app for you to review and adjust, not an individual prescription.
Template, not a prescription. A generated workout is a template. It does not replace a personal trainer (CREF) or medical advice, and the app does not guarantee the exact exercise for your case. See a professional for pain, injury, technique questions, or a specific goal.
What is an ABC workout?
An ABC workout splits your week into three different sessions: A, B and C. Instead of repeating the same session every day, each day groups a few muscle groups and you rotate between them (for example, three days a week with rest in between). The idea is simple: your training stays organized and you know what to do when you walk into the gym.
If you'd rather build your ABC plan by hand, see the step-by-step in ABC workout plan: example and how to build yours. This post covers the other route: asking the system for a first template and knowing what to do with it.
How IronSystem generates your ABC workout
Generation lives in the Workout List. Generating a workout template is a feature of the Monthly plan, with a monthly limit on generations. On the entry screen, the app shows a counter of your AI usage for the month.
Before: the Workout List with the previous routine, not yet showing the generated template.
What happens when you generate:
- The app uses the information in your profile (goal, days per week, training location) and, if you want, an optional briefing.
- The app may warn you if your current workout is still within the recommended period. In that case you choose between cancelling and generating anyway.
- There is a feedback form about your previous cycle before "Enviar e gerar" (Submit and generate).
- While generating, the app shows a "Gerando…" (Generating…) state and then brings the A, B and C lists.
The recommended-period warning, with the Cancel and Generate anyway options.
After generating, the plan goes to your Weekly schedule. There you see the plan spread across the days: for example, Monday A, Tuesday B, Wednesday C, and rest on the other days. The Weekly schedule shows what is planned, not what you've already done.
The Weekly schedule with the generated plan: A on Monday, B on Tuesday, C on Wednesday.
The A, B and C lists appear in the Workout List, each with its exercises.
Workout A in the Workout List.
Workout C in the Workout List.
Print or save as PDF
You can print or save as PDF the template with all three workouts, to take to the gym.
The PDF produced by Print / PDF: execution, rest and progression for workouts A, B and C.
In the screens above, used as an example, the app generated 3 days per week, with 4 exercises per day and a mix of muscle groups. That is an example of what came out in that one generation, and a starting point for you to review, not a closed workout.
Is the generated template a classic ABC?
Not necessarily, and it's worth being direct about it. The template generated by the app does not strictly follow a classic ABC split: it organizes A, B and C from what you entered, and the muscle groups on each day may not match what you'd see on a traditional plan. So read the result, compare it with the classic split below and adjust what makes sense, ideally with a professional (CREF).
Three ways to split your week
This section is explanatory text: the ABC workout split and the push pull legs workout are ways to organize your week, not options you pick inside the app.
Classic ABC. A, B and C over 3 days a week. Each day groups muscle groups; for example, chest, shoulders and triceps on one day, back and biceps on another, legs on the third. This is only an explanatory example, not a prescription.
Beginner ABC. The same 3-day logic with fewer exercises per day. The focus is learning the movement and building the habit of showing up, before thinking about volume.
Push / pull / legs. Push, pull and legs. It's the same three-block idea, organized by type of movement instead of by muscle group. In practice, push/pull/legs and ABC are two ways to organize 3 days; neither is "better" than the other, and the choice depends on preference, routine and professional guidance.
For comparison, here is an example week with dummy data, just to illustrate the format:
| Day | Workout | Example focus (illustrative) |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | A | Chest, shoulders and triceps |
| Tuesday | Rest | — |
| Wednesday | B | Back and biceps |
| Thursday | Rest | — |
| Friday | C | Legs |
| Saturday and Sunday | Rest | — |
What IronSystem delivered is a template with A, B and C workouts (not always the same as a classic ABC); you can edit your list. For an example to copy, see the ABC plan step-by-step.
What to do after you generate it
- Review the A, B and C lists. Check that the exercises make sense for you and whether anything raises a technique question.
- Edit or build your own sequence. The list is yours: you can adjust what came in the template.
- Log every workout with sets, reps and load. That history shows your progress, and it's how you earn XP in IronSystem. See more in how to log a session in the app.
- Print or save a PDF if you want to take the workout on paper.
- Check with a professional (CREF) if you have pain, injury or doubts about execution.
Template, not a prescription
A generated workout is a template. It does not replace a personal trainer (CREF) or medical advice, and the app does not guarantee the exact exercise for your case. See a professional for pain, injury, technique questions, or a specific goal. IronSystem does not promise results.
FAQ
Does IronSystem generate the ABC workout for me? Yes: generating a workout template is a Monthly plan feature, with a monthly limit on generations.
Do I need to generate one to have an ABC plan? No. Building your own sequence and importing a list (CSV, Excel or photo) work in the Workout List without generating.
Is the generated workout suitable for beginners? It's a template based on the information in your profile. Adjust it with a professional (CREF) if you have technique doubts, pain or injury.
Does the app guarantee the exact exercise? No. The result is a template; the app does not guarantee any specific exercise, load or execution for you.
What if I don't like the result? You can generate again, within your plan's limit, or edit and build your own list.
ABC or push/pull/legs? Both are ways to organize 3 training days. One groups by muscle groups, the other by type of movement. Neither is "the best" for everyone.
