Workout app that doesn't vanish: log today's session in Iron System
Yesterday's workout is already gone.
You know what you did. More or less. The program lived in a notebook, in your coach's WhatsApp, or in a Drive spreadsheet. You got to the gym, opened your phone… and today's session wasn't there. Or it was unreadable. Or it was the old version. Or the chat scrolled and the message drowned between a voice note and a sticker.
That isn't a discipline problem. It's the wrong tool for the job.
Iron System exists for one simple job: your program becomes today's workout. Build it on the muscle map, import CSV/Excel/photo, or generate a template. Log sets, RPE, and supersets. Saving pulls the next letter and earns XP. No hunting for paper. No "send the program again."
Logging and template tool. It does not replace a licensed trainer (CREF), nutritionist (CRN), or medical advice.
The problem: a dead program in a notebook
The gym notebook is ritual. It works on day 1. By day 30 it's a dead archive:
- smeared ink, handwriting only you can read (sometimes not even you);
- it doesn't travel — leave it at home and the session becomes improvisation;
- no useful history — "what did I bench three weeks ago?" becomes a guess;
- coach and athlete each hold a different version of the same program.
WhatsApp and spreadsheets inherit the same hole: the channel isn't the log. The channel is chat or a grid. The gym needs something else — today's session, set by set, with what comes next.
If the program doesn't become today's workout, it already vanished. Everything else is productivity theater.
Three ways to get a program into Iron System
In Iron System training, the sequence doesn't live in a lost PDF. It lives in the System. You choose how to get it in:
1. Build the sequence (free)
Open the muscle map, pick the exercise, drop it on the day. Adjust sets, load, and rest in the workout flow. No waiting to "generate." No middle spreadsheet. You build the split you already know — AB, ABC, upper/lower — and it's ready to log.
2. Import CSV, Excel, or a photo (free)
Already have a coach's program? An Excel sheet? A photo of the notebook? Import it. The System reads it and builds the sequence. You review, save, and the next session already pulls the right letter.
Build or import: free. The heavy lift of getting the program off paper into a daily log does not require a subscription.
3. Generate a new workout template
Want a new template from your profile (goal, days/week, split, equipment)? Generating a new workout template is on the paid monthly plan. It is a logging template — not personal training and not a CREF substitute. If your situation involves pregnancy, an eating disorder, illness, or rehab, see a professional: the System does not build for those cases.
Operational summary:
| Action | Access |
|---|---|
| Build sequence or import | Free |
| Generate new workout template | Paid plan |
| Log session + XP on save | Free |
Logging the session: sets, RPE, supersets
A ready program isn't enough. What moves your rank is what you log.
In the workout flow you mark what you did (Done / Fiz), fill sets, reps, and load. Advanced mode opens RPE, rest, time, isometric holds, and set combinations. Supersets and trisets enter as combinations — the System counts that in the session XP.
Save Workout:
- writes a real session (it doesn't vanish in chat);
- pulls the next letter in the sequence — tomorrow you don't guess A or B;
- earns XP — consistency becomes a number, not a vibe.
No more "I think it was 80 kg." No blurry notebook photo. No coach pinging WhatsApp to ask if you did C.
Ranks: payoff for consistency (not marketing)
Ranks in Iron System aren't social badges. They are an E → S+ trail from what you log: sessions, body composition, verification.
Without verification the ceiling is D. With composition and lab logs on the product's cadence, the trail opens further. Session XP, day streaks, muscle-group switches, combos (superset/triset) — all pull from the log, not from likes.
The only point here: logged consistency becomes rank. A notebook doesn't rank up. WhatsApp doesn't rank up. A cracked-phone spreadsheet at the gym doesn't rank up. Who ranks up is who saves the session.
(If you want the full rank map, it's in the app after you Create free account. This post is about today's session — the rest comes with the habit.)

What changes in practice
Before:
- Open WhatsApp.
- Hunt for the program.
- Improvise half of it.
- Don't write the load.
- Next week: "what was I doing again?"
After:
- Open Iron System.
- Today's letter is already there.
- Log sets and RPE.
- Save → next letter + XP.
- History exists when you need it.
Same gym. Same athlete. Different system.
Take the System
Your program becomes today's workout — or it keeps vanishing in a notebook.
Build, import (free), or generate a template. Log sets, RPE, and supersets. Save. Let XP and the next letter work for you.
