A Workout App That Shows Attributes, Not Just the Weight Lifted

Load is just one number. If you want to see what your training is building, an app that shows attributes like strength and endurance tells more of the story than the plates on the bar. In IronSystem, every workout you log feeds XP, ranks and five attributes: STR, VIT, END, AGI and REC.

Logging and template tool. It does not replace a personal trainer (CREF) or medical advice. Attributes are in-app feedback, not a medical or fitness assessment.

Why load alone tells you little

Load shows how much weight you lifted on one exercise, on one day. It matters, but it's a single data point.

It doesn't show whether you've been training consistently, whether you've been resting for real, or whether your training leans toward heavy strength or toward volume. If you log everything in a spreadsheet or your notes app, you end up staring at the same column: the weight. And when the load stalls for a few weeks, it feels like nothing changed, even if you trained well.

What the attributes are (STR, VIT, END, AGI, REC)

In IronSystem, attributes live in the Attribute status (Status de atributos) card, with one bar each:

  • Strength (STR)
  • Vitality (VIT)
  • Endurance (END)
  • Agility (AGI)
  • Recovery (REC)

The app explains each attribute in one short line. Strength, for example: "Force under load. Grows from heavy, low-rep lifts and PRs." Recovery: "How well you absorb training. Grows from real rest days." In other words, resting shows up on your dashboard too, not just training.

If a session doesn't touch an attribute, it simply stays where it was. The app tells you the attributes didn't change instead of faking progress. And a new account starts at zero on all of them: the bars grow as you log.

Attributes + XP + ranks: all from what you log

Attributes aren't a separate scoreboard. They come from the same place as the rest of your progress in the app: the workouts you log.

  • Logging a workout earns XP.
  • Your total XP sets your rank, and XP never resets.
  • When you beat your own mark, a PR badge appears.
  • Next to all that, your attributes show which direction your training is heading.

Together, that becomes an RPG-style status screen built from what you actually did in the gym. For more on the XP and rank side, see the workout app that plays like a game.

Spreadsheets and badge apps: what's missing

A spreadsheet stores exactly what you type, and nothing more. It gives you no read on your training back: all the interpretation is on you.

Apps that only hand out badges tend to reward showing up, not what you did. A badge for "trained 3 times this week" is nice, but it doesn't tell you whether the week was heavy strength work or well-earned rest.

Attributes sit in between: they come from what you log and show more than the load of the day.

How to start logging

  1. Create your free IronSystem account.
  2. Open Register workout (Registrar treino) and log sets, reps and load for today's session.
  3. Save the session to earn XP.
  4. Come back over your next workouts and follow the Attribute status card.

You don't need to change your plan to start. Log what you already do and let your history show the rest. To see what logging a session looks like, read how to log a workout session.

FAQ

Is there XP per muscle or per attribute? There are no per-muscle ranks. IronSystem shows five attributes (STR, VIT, END, AGI and REC) alongside XP and ranks.

Is it a gamified app with XP and rankings? Yes. You log your workout, earn XP, rank up, and follow your attributes and your workout streak.

Is it a real game or just badges? It's a real loop: log, earn XP, rank up. Attributes come from the training you log, not from tapping around the app.

How do attributes go up? They come from what you log. The app gives short hints for each one, like Strength going up with heavy lifts and PRs and Recovery with real rest days. If a workout doesn't touch an attribute, it stays where it was.

What's my real strength level? How much should I bench? In IronSystem, your level comes from what you log: your rank from total XP, which never resets, and your STR, VIT, END, AGI and REC attributes. The app doesn't compare your load to bodyweight tables. Your bioimpedance exam sets your rank floor.

How do I prove I'm improving? Log your workouts, keep your plan and track your PRs. More in gym progress: PRs, loads and ranks.
